#177 Leaving Everything Behind...
I was heading further north
driving on a long route
it was post mid-night,
pitch black
with intervals of street lights,
and blue-board milestone markers
every few miles..
The visibility was not too poor
but hard to see anything in the rear view,
what was left behind
was left to the night,
a little unknown to the dim neon patches
on the road side..
I wanted to move ahead, but
it was hard to leave everything,
all that was part of me
a place I called home
to a place far, and unknown...
