Black fibre fan on a clean white ceiling

and thick wooden doors

brown curtains and glass walls

tainted yellow floors..

Lights were shining bright

over the decorations of beads and tassels

the garlands and flowers

and the hanging vessels..

Skin creams and new attire

adorned with zari laces

plenty of gifts and sweets

excited, joyful are the faces..

This time of the year

is full of hopes and dreams

when darkness takes a back seat

the sun and the stars glows and gleams..
